The Delta Iota Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma wants to raise funds for
scholarships by hosting a Christmas Market on November 29th 5:00-8:00 at
Lester¹s in Orange Beach! Our scholarships are awarded to children of
educators! We have a place but what we need are vendors and shoppers!
The idea was just to allow only educators with other projects, crafts and
home-based businesses to be the vendors however we have had very little
response from educators wanting to rent a booth/table.
The charge is a $10.00 donation and a small item to be used in the raffles
we hope to have. So now we are asking you to help get the word out to any
one you know who may want a booth for this event. Also, please help
spread the news by printing these fliers/invitations and vendor forms and
sharing them with everyone you know!You may also forward this email out
to every teacher you know in Baldwin County as well!

Slip n’ slide your way into the Gulf of Mexico, enjoy live music by Grayson Capps, and celebrate New Year’s Day The Hangout way!
Slip n’ Slide, Jump, Jive an’Wail, and Take the Plunge into the Gulf of Mexico for a non-traditional, family friendly, Polar Bear Dip in Gulf Shores. The Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores presents the second annual Slip n’ Slide Polar Bear Dip at high noon on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Gulf Shores Public Beach in front of The Hangout. All participants will be treated to a great post dip party at The Hangout with complimentary chili (while supplies last) and live music by Grayson Capps and The Lost Cause Minstrels.
Activities begin at 11am with the opening of the beach front slide and live music by David “Hornman’’ Jones inside The Hangout. The plunge will take place at high noon and is followed by the post-dip party featuring live music, prizes for best costumes, and a special cash award to the “loudest” Snowbird Club. Of course, all the football bowl games will be shown on the Hangout’s 20+ TV screens.
Polar Bear Dip souvenir T-shirts are on sale now at The Hangout for $15 and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Gulf Shores Kiwanis Club. Representatives from the Law Enforcement Torch Run will be selling caps and T-shirts to benefit Alabama Special Olympics day of. Both organizations will be accepting charitable contributions at the event.
Since 1985, the Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores has raised and distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars and has had a good time doing it. Its members are key citizens from the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley Metro that get involved to improve the lives of children. The club meets on Tuesdays at noon in the Palmer Dining Room at Craft Farms Golf Course. Visitors are always welcome. Visit gulfshoreskiwanis.org for more information. |
